“My beloved spoke
to me and said, rise up my love, my fair one, and come
away. (Song of Solomon 2:10) As I was reading through this chapter last
night, this found my soul in a state of awe. For when I think of the
beloved saying these words, I am mindful of the Lord Himself. How
precious all His children are to Him. For the Lord has loved us even
before we were, and has predestined us to be conformed into His
image. (Romans 8:29) Yet we know in order to see Him, we must be
cleansed by the blood, we must believe. (John 3:16) Yet, I am so
thankful that God sent not his son into the world to condemn but rather
to set us free. Causing us to become His own children. (I John 3) As I
think of the words I quoted above, I get caught up in my Saviors love.
It is as if I can hear my Lord. Christ Himself as He speaks through
the spirit saying “rise my love, come away with me.” O, I do not hear
Him audibly, but my heart is open to Him, and thus I do hear Him. He
calls me, calls me up high even while living on earth. For He calls me
to a hope, a lively hope that shall endure no matter what life might
hand my way. He gives me victory, giving me a song to sing that is true,
lighting up my paths, and also shining for others as I go my way, or I
should say, as I go His way. For in His way is where the true life
with Jesus comes in. When one is willing to walk His way. To walk
after the spirit, and acknowledge Him in all he or she may do. Oh how
sweet is the taste in ones soul when he or she walks close to God. I
love it, being in His favor, not by what I do, but what He has done, and
what He is working in me. (Philippians 1:6) My Lord is faithful and true
to me, and He will be likewise to you. Filling you up, bringing peace
and contentment to the soul as you submit your entire life to Him.
Handing it over, denying yourself, and exchanging your life for His.
For His way can be rough, it is indeed the way of the cross yet, it is
safe. Filled with peace, and clear conscience knowing you are living
rightly, and leaving a mark behind that is going to always stand for
something in this world. Oh take time to be holy, to hear His voice as
He speaks. And read His word and pray the understanding of it be known
unto you. For the Lord said in Matthew “seek and you shall find, knock
and it shall be opened unto you. This takes us back to the song I
quoted. “rise up my love, my fair one, come away.” Indeed He calls us
to rise, we are fair and beautiful to Him, because we are made after His
image, and if we have believed, we are washed in His blood. From the
moment we do believe and confess our sins, He has such mercy, such
compassion on us one and all. Thus He is calling rise, rise, come,
come. Be lifted above this world and be renewed. (Romans 12) For Our
Lord indeed has something much greater and much higher… Oh the joy of
walking in this truth. I’ll leave you with a thought concerning my Lord
and how it seems to me our relationship is often times like.”
My Lord speaks to me,
and I hear His voice, because I am His. He calls to me because I am His
and I follow because He is also mine. I know Him and I hear His voice
and I follow Him, and we walk and talk together through the spiritual
garden of Eden and He tells me I am His own. He
makes known unto me things I need to know as we walk and talk and I
worship Him, O how I love Him so.
